Was born on September 12, 1956, in Taishet.
From 1972 to 1976, he studied in the art department of a pedagogical school, where he showed his works for the first time in personal exhibitions.
In 1984 he graduated from the Leningrad Gertsen State Pedagogical Institute (now St. Petersburg), with a specialization in graphic arts.
Starting in 1976, he worked as an artist-interior designer and in advertising, and taught in an art school.
Starting in 1982, he actively exhibited his works as a painter.
Today he is a participant in many art exhibits in Russia and abroad.
Since 1995 he has been a member of the Russian Artists' Union.
Since 2001 he has collaborated with LES OREADES.
He lives and works in Moscow.
Purlik's works are in Russian museums and in private collections in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, France, Finland, South Korea and Japan.
