Anatolij Purlik was born in 1956 (September, 12) in Taishet (East Siberia).
Since 1972 till 1976 he studied on the fine-arts faculty of the Pedagogical College, where he showed his first works on personal exhibitions.
In 1984 he graduated from Fine-arts and Graphics Department of Herzen Leningrad State Pedagogical University (Saint-Petersburg).
Since 1976 he works as a decorator-artist in the fields of interior and advertising, also he teaches in the school for fine arts.
In 1982 he started exhibiting as a painter.
In 1995 he became a member of the Artist’s Union of Russia.
Anatolij Purlik had exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
Now he lives and works in Irkutsk and Moscow.
His works are now kept in Russian museums and private collections in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Poland, Russia, USA, Turkey, France, Finland, South Korea, Japan.
Personal exhibitions were held in: Moscow 1978, 1991; Saint-Petersburg 1982, 1983; Taishet 1986; Pforzheim 1995; Stuttgart 1995, 1998, 1999; Irkutsk 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001; Berlin 1997; Seoul 1997; Freiburg 1997; Bad-Herrenalb 1999; Auerbach 2000
He has worked with "Les Oreades" gallery since 2001.
