Born in Taishet on September 12th 1956.
From 1972 to 1976, he studied in the art department of a pedagogical school, where he showed his works for the first time in personal exhibitions.
In 1984 he graduated from the Leningrad Gertsen State Pedagogical Institute (now St. Petersburg), with a specialization in graphic arts.
From 1976, he worked as an artist-designer in interior decortion and advertising, and taught in an art school.
From 1982, he actively exhibited his works as a painter.
1985, became member of the Russian Union of Artists.
Today he participates in many art exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
He has worked with "Les Oreades" gallery since 2001.
He lives and works in Moscow.
Purlik's works can be found in Russian museums and in private collections in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, France, Finland, South Korea and Japan.
